octeniderm colourless is suitable for both preoperative skin antisepsis and postoperative suture care. It is applied before putting in vascular catheters such as central venous catheters (CVC) along with injections, blood sampling, punctures, excisions, cannulations and biopsies. It has a remanence effect for at least 48 hours. If none of the special hand disinfectants are available, octeniderm colourless can also be used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. Fast onset of action.

100 g Lösung enthält: Arzneilich wirksame Bestandteile: Octenidindihydrochlorid 0,1 g, 1-Propanol (Ph.Eur.) 30,0 g, 2- Propanol (Ph.Eur.) 45,0 g. Sonstiger Bestandteil: gereinigtes Wasser.

Before all invasive procedures: Spray the affected skin area/apply with a soaked swab, ensure complete wetting of the skin and observe exposure times. Remove excess product to avoid puddling. For preoperative skin antisepsis: mechanically shorten the hair of the affected skin area. Preoperative washing (e.g. with octenisan) is recommended. To avoid smudging skin markings, only use skin marking pens with adequate alcohol resistance (e.g. Devon™ Surgical Mini Marking Pen (REF 31146020)). When adhering incision foils, attend to adequate drying in order not to impair adhesion.
