The new on/off switch for the RUCK® Nova Pro and Nova SE Podiatry Drills is another convenient accessory – alongside the handpiece holder – for switching the handpiece on and off.
Then effortless operating control is ensured, so that you can concentrate fully on your treatment. Simply touch the tag for a short period (1–2 seconds) with the handpiece holder.
The tag is flexible and can be attached to different surfaces, such as clothing, furniture or other metallic surfaces, thanks to the magnetic holder and the included adhesive pad for non-metallic surfaces.
The tag can be used with the Nova Pro from software version RUCK_OS 1.2.0 onwards, which should be available for installation from 1 July 2025. For the Nova SE, software version RUCK_OS 1.07 is required. For the Nova Pro, this update is installed automatically. For the Nova SE, you will receive the update as part of a maintenance service. Instead, please use our customer service team.

Not every treatment situation allows for the use of a traditional handpiece holder. Especially when working in a mobile practice or with practices including existing set-ups, many users would like to be able to control the handpiece directly and easily.
The start & stop tag allows the handpiece motor to be switched on and off thanks to the handpiece being brought close to it – quickly, intuitively and without interrupting the flow of the procedure.

Thanks to its built-in magnet, the Start-Stop Tag can be securely attached to metallic surfaces – exactly where you need it in day-to-day practice.

Using the adhesive pad provided, you can also attach the tag to non-metallic furniture or worktops – securely and permanently, and always within easy reach.

The magnetic backing plate allows the start & stop tag to be conveniently
