The RUCK skin and hand disinfectant is a fragrance-free disinfectant for application to hands and skin. The solution includes 2-propanol 70 % (V/V) and offers a broad spectrum of efficacy against bacteria, yeasts and enveloped viruses. Contact times are 30 sec. for hygienic hand disinfection, 1.5 min. for surgical hand disinfection and 15 sec. to 3 min. for skin disinfection, depending on the area of application. Thanks to the mild formulation without particularly fragrance-free or colouring agents, it is extremely skin-friendly and also suitable for sensitive skin. It is suitable for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection along with skin disinfection before injections, punctures and small surgical procedures. The solution can also be used for the disinfection of skin with sebaceous glands and for the production of cold packs.

For hygienic hand disinfection, the hands are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 30 seconds. For surgical hand disinfection, hands and forearms are rubbed with the solution and kept moist for 5 minutes*. For disinfection before simple injections and punctures of peripheral vessels, the skin is rubbed correctly with the solution and kept moist for 15 seconds. For disinfection before operations and punctures of joints, the skin is rubbed correctly with the solution and kept moist for 1 minute. To disinfect skin rich in sebaceous glands, rub the skin correctly with the solution and keep it moist for 10 minutes*. For cooling compresses, the solution should be diluted with equal parts water *According to the VAH certificate, an exposure time of 1.5 min has been confirmed for surgical hand disinfection along with an exposure time of 3 min for the disinfection of skin rich in sebaceous glands.
