As a Nail fold tamponade of the younger generation, the B/S brace technique is suitable even for sensitive feet. Unlike conventional models with wire elements or customisable adhesive braces, you can apply B/S nail braces with minimal effort. You do not need to pre-tension this type of brace, which was introduced in 1987, nor do you need to bend it into shape with great care.

Instead, this technology—which is as simple as it is effective—utilises physical forces. The brace, made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, works on the same principle as a leaf spring. Pressure and counter-pressure balance each other out, delivering a barely noticeable lifting of the nail edges. This relieves pressure on the nail fold and allows the nail to gradually find a healthy position.

Although B/S nail braces always work on the same principle, each model can provide its own advantages. This allows you to tailor your choice perfectly to each patient. We present the four available variants:

• With the B/S Classic Brace, you are choosing the popular all-rounder. It offers an optimum fit and a secure hold. You can attach this traditional adhesive brace in a matter of seconds. To do so, the nail fold must be freely accessible. Furthermore, B/S nail braces must not be applied to diseased nails. Fungal infections, psoriasis or onycholysis are therefore exclusion criteria.
• Even easier to use is the B/S Quick brace. No particular nail correction instruments are required to apply the correction aid to the nail. Instead, you can attach the nail brace, which is pre-placed on a backing, directly with your fingers. Before application, do not take foot baths or use nail varnish remover. It is also not possible to use oils, creams or disinfectants when used in combination.
• The B/S Magnet Brace has been on the market since 2012. To secure this brace, first apply a metallic polish to the centre. Starting from this point, it can be applied especially easily and precisely. Even the exact positioning from one nail fold to the other is incredibly easy. With this brace, first-class comfort begins yet even before the directions are followed.
• The B/S Magnet Brace+ offers an optimised upgrade on the conventional magnetic brace. Instead of the usual 3 millimetres, the Plus version boasts a width of 4 millimetres. Being 30 per cent larger than its predecessor, this powerful nail brace adheres especially reliably to the nail surface. This makes it suitable even for vibrant nail shapes.
