Less complexity, greater safety: RUCK unveils new orthoses for professional foot care

Neuenbürg, July 2026. Custom-made orthoses provide targeted pressure relief, stabilisation and correction for a range of foot problems, and require a high degree of specialist expertise and precision. With the new RUCK orthoses, the production of customised silicone orthoses is made easier, safer and more reproducible thanks to a clearly structured mixing system.

The production of an orthoses is a combination of experience, knowledge of materials and precise workmanship. Particularly when used in combination with different materials, even small variations in the mixing ratio can influence the properties of the end product. This is where the new RUCK orthoses come in:

The system is based on three different moulding materials and a universally applicable hardener. Thanks to the combination of these materials, different degrees of hardness can be achieved, which can be specifically tailored to the varying requirements of each case.

RUCK combines individual design options with a clear structure: The moulding materials are colour-coded and, together with the mixing chart and the 5-piece measuring spoon system, enable precision dosing and easy incorporation in everyday practice. This results in a standardised manufacturing process that simplifies daily use yet receives the necessary versatility for individual solutions.

Standardisation of work processes is becoming increasingly important, particularly in modern practices with several staff members. Standardised procedures make it easier to train new team members and create a reliable basis for consistent quality.

The new RUCK orthoses support this aim thanks to clearly defined mixing ratios and convenient application guides. This ensures that manufacturing steps can be incorporated in a traceable manner and reduces possible sources of error in the work process.

The two-component silicone compounds provided are elastic, tear-resistant and allow flexible adaptation to different clinical situations. The materials are moisturising and free from zinc oxides.

In addition, the RUCK Academy provides training and courses on the directions for using RUCK orthoses. Instructional videos on the individual production steps, along with a dedicated training presentation for training centres, are also available – so that trainees and practice teams can familiarise themselves with the new system in a structured way.
