However, every application has its own specific requirements. Before selecting a bath towel, you should therefore consider which model best meets your individual needs.

Towels for every beauty treatment

The different types differ primarily in terms of size, but also in terms of their texture and intended use.

Whilst standard bath, sauna and shower towels are designed to dry the whole body, the significantly smaller refreshing towels are intended to revitalise your patients. For this purpose, the towels can be moistened with cold or warm water and, if desired, infused with essential oils. Compresses and eye towels provide a similar sense of well-being.

Materials with practical properties

One of the most important properties of towels and bathrobes is how well they drape over the body. This is primarily determined by the textiles used. Terry cloth, for example, is not only fluffy and soft, but also easy to care for and durable. The cotton material is especially absorbent, allowing the skin to dry quickly. Furthermore, thanks to its special structure, terry cloth helps retain warmth.

Bathrobes with convenient extra features

A bathrobe offers more than just warmth and drying after a visit to the sauna or spa. It serves as a soft, comfortable alternative to regular clothing and ideally includes practical features. With the help of a tie belt, the robe can be fastened securely around the waist, ensuring it stays comfortably closed.

Washing towels and bathrobes: How to do it properly

One of the well-known advantages of terry towels is that they are usually boil-proof. This means they can be hygienically washed in the machine at 60 degrees Celsius without any problems. If you use a disinfectant detergent, this ensures that any pathogens are effectively eliminated and the towels are thoroughly cleaned.

When washing in the machine, make sure that the drum is neither overfilled nor too empty. An optimal gap of about the width of a fist between the laundry and the drum is ideal. You should also check the permitted spin speed, which is usually indicated on the care label of the towels.

In most cases, towels made of terry cloth or other cotton materials are suitable for the tumble dryer. They can also be dried well in the open air. However, make sure to hang them properly to prevent the fabric from becoming stiff or rough after drying.

Bathrobes, on the other hand, should generally be washed at lower temperatures of 30 to 40 degrees Celsius. This reduces the risk of colours fading and is gentler on more delicate fabrics. The use of a tumble dryer is usually suitable for cotton or terry cloth bathrobes. For other materials, it is strongly recommended to follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.
