The three methods of hair removal with wax
Whether it’s your arms, legs or intimate areas: waxing removes hair at the root and delivers smooth, attractive skin for up to four weeks. Waxing is one of the most effective and popular methods of hair removal. With the right wax, a gentle touch and the suitable aftercare, waxing is no problem even for sensitive skin.
During waxing, special hair removal wax is applied in its liquid state to those areas of skin where hair growth is unwanted. The wax envelops the hair and hardens as it cools. When the wax is removed in a swift motion against the direction of hair growth using a non-woven fabric applied beforehand, it pulls the hair out at the root . The waxed area stays wonderfully smooth until new, finer hair grows back. So that the wax can grip the body hair perfectly, it is advisable to let the hair grow to a length of around 1–2 mm before the treatment.
Which wax for which application?
When it comes to waxing, a basic distinction is made between strip wax (also known as soft wax) and film wax, which is also referred to as hard wax due to its firm consistency when unheated. In general, both types of wax are suitable for most applications and are gentle on the skin. In practice, professionals use the two types of wax for different purposes.
Tip:
Just before the treatment, a warm bath or warm compresses will open the pores. This softens the skin, makes the hair follicles easier to remove and reduces any discomfort.

The main ingredient in many strip waxes is honey-coloured colophony, a pine resin, which is desirable for its adhesive properties and is used, amongst other things, for rosinating violin bows. FILM WAX Warmwachsperlen – für empfindliche Stellen
Im Unterschied zu STRIP WAX wird FILM WAX bevorzugt an empfindlichen Stellen und Zonen mit dichterem und dickerem Haarwuchs eingesetzt. Im Unterschied zu STRIP WAX haftet das FILM WAX nicht auf der Haut an und ist darum beim Abziehen weniger spürbar. Film Waxing ist geeignet für Haarlängen ab 2 mm und überall dort, wo besonders exakt epiliert werden soll. Das RUCK FILM WAX ist frei von Bienenwachs und Kolophonium und dadurch auch für sensible Haut sehr gut verträglich.
